Ajay Kumar is an Indian Freelance Photojournalist and a passionate street photographer. Currently based in New Delhi, he covers topics on News, Entertainment, Daily life and Feature Photojournalism.

He embarked on his journey as a photographer when he found the photography society of his college in the very first year of his graduation. From covering events as a freelance photographer to working with esteemed newspapers and leading major projects, Ajay holds a plethora of experience.

 

Ajay’s work has been published in Eye Photo Magazine, IPA Magazine, BBC News, CNN, Daily Mail, Forbes, CNBC, Publimetro, NBC Connecticut, ESPN and Getty Reportage (Instagram) to name some. Several of his captured works have been selected as the weekly bests in various virtual photography platforms.

 

Ajay is the Co-Founder of Citragrahini Society and a Member of Street Photography India group.

He has worked for various media groups like The Statesman, DU Times, and Teach For India(NGO).

 

Besides having such a vast journalistic and documentary approach towards photography, Ajay also shoots Corporate Events and Pre-weddings.

 

Currently contributing images for International Press Agency. and many of his photographs have been a valuable contribution to the same.

 

He's also been giving workshops based on his mobile photography projects as a professional photographer.
